ABSOLUTE JOY! I took this selfie when I was just feeling super happy and joyful!
I often get into conversations with people from all over the world about the details of traveling. Most people question the SOLO traveling aspect and I get questions like, “Do you like traveling alone?” or “Why do you like traveling alone?”
It comes down to something extremely straightforward: The freedom of choice. I get the opportunity to make choices without considering anyone but myself, and then I get to reap the benefits = meeting new friends (couches to sleep on in the future 😉😜) and exploring landscapes without limitation. However, just as I get to reap the benefits and rewards from the choices I make, I still have to take responsibility for all the consequences of my choices - and I’ve had too many to count. As probability says, I cannot have all the good without some bad, and it’s this very cycle of taking accountability while I travel that makes the SOLO journey worth it every single time.
And I’m not bashing any of my trips I’ve done with friends because those have also been legendary, but I want to inspire and shine a light for anyone who has not traveled alone - to go, to be, and explore BY YOURSELF. Fullfilment comes from within - nothing external.
Tromsø is now one of my favorite places on earth. I was so incredibly lucky, grateful, and fortunate that I saw the northern lights and the snowy mountain fjords. I bought this camera 2 months ago JUST for this trip. I took so many photos and I completely respect the art of photography - something I am learning about. GOOD VIBES ONLY! at The Arctic Circle (Tromsø, Norway)
