Props to my client @juan23hidalgo on hitting 300lb for a clean double and 315lb for a nice single yesterday 👊 (PR's) He's new to strength training and started this past summer with the goal to lose a bunch of weight. It wasn't so much the weight he needed to lose as it was the body fat. . Now he focuses on hitting his macros, getting stronger and being consistent. He's creating good habits while focusing on the process. And seeing results by getting stronger! I'm really proud of the progress he's made not only in the gym, but in the way he approaches strength training and nutrition now. He's a great student that I enjoy training! #transformationtuesday s/o to @aabertt 🔥 #inspiration #motivation - “🤜230lbs & 160lbs 🤜18 year old me & 25 year old me. There is a lot of misinformation on how to lose weight. Here are some tips i’ve personally used while losing weight: - Nutrition: Its all about the nutrition! I tracked what I ate and made sure I stayed in a caloric deficit. “The quality of the food is important but the quantity is the most important.” I recommend using Mymacro+ (@my.macros) or @myfitnesspal to track what your daily caloric intake - Supplements: There is no pill or fat burner that can magically shred off fat. Supplements are not needed to lose weight but it can certain help. For example, a pre workout can help boost energy when you are exhausted. (I’ll have one i recommend linked in the bio) - Training: I weight trained five days a week with a focus on compound exercises.(exercises that involve two or more muscle groups like the bench press or squat) - Cardio: I utilized cardio as a tool to aid fat loss and only added more cardio in when fat loss was stalled - Misc: Surround yourself with motivated people.@franky.y was my workout partner for years. We pushed each other to become the best we could be🙏 @t_alliance - And finally the most important thing is being consistent. Do not be discouraged if you don’t see results overnight. Keep at it, continue to push yourself and become the best version of yourself.

During my workout this morning, I was thinking about change. Why won't most people change? It's because they don't want to. Let me tell you a story. There's a well known story of a dog howling on a man's porch. Each day the dog would howl, whimpering as people would walk by. Finally a man came by the house and asked the owner why his dog was whimpering. The man replied, "He's sitting on a nail." The man explained to the visitor that the dog didn't move because he(the dog) didn't find it painful enough yet. Each day, each of us have nails poking us. They could be relationship nails, career nails, financial nails, or perhaps even health nails. Too many of us keep repositioning ourselves on that nail rather than addressing the problem. Happy Tuesday fitties!! Have you gotten your sweat on today? 😅 I changed the order of my workouts this week so I had PWR shoulders and abs yesterday and back and biceps today. Today’s workout was definitely heavier on the biceps which I don’t mind except I’m really trying to grow these back muscles!
